Bitmap Frame

A hardcore hardtail in the best British tradition. A simple design with aggressive geometry and tonnes of mud clearance. A fast, fun hooligan of a bike.

The idea behind the Bitmap was to make the ultimate hardtail for ripping trails. You might think it’s easy to produce an alloy hardtail, but to make one as good as this took us two years. We’ve put everything into designing what we think is one of the best hardcore hardtails out there. It’s simple: no bearings and no shock to tune. Just dialled geometry, a strong, stiff frame and a well thought-out spec.

The frame uses our own specification 6061-T6 alloy tubing, which we’ve tuned to get the ride character just right. There are gussets in all the right places and a custom CNC chainstay yoke offering space for a 2.6” tyre with tonnes of mud clearance. The Bitmap has the same CNC dropouts as the Edit, so you’ve got a super stiff bolt-through rear end (boost 148x12mm), a replaceable mech hanger and brake mount designed for a 180mm rotor - no faffing about with spacers.

Short chainstays (420mm) mean you can rail it through berms and manual sections with ease whilst the head-angle is slack enough (65°) to handle the steeps comfortably. The fore-aft balance is just right so you can throw your weight around and find the grip - or cut loose if that’s your thing. Super low standover on all sizes means you can fit a 150mm or 170mm dropper comfortably, and choose your size based on reach. Cable routing is external with a port for a stealth dropper, there are ISCG05 tabs for a chain guide and a bottle cage mount.

Every Bitmap frame comes supplied with an Airdrop CNC rear axle and CNC seat clamp.

  • The Bitmap hardtail frame was designed in Sheffield and developed on trails throughout the UK. As with all our bikes, it's built to be simple but effective. It's also fully up to date, with a Boost 12x148mm rear axle (included), integrated 180mm brake mount, a threaded BB shell and stealth dropper compatibility. Plenty of clearance for 2.6" tyres.
