The Edit v4 platform with Cane Creek's latest Kitsuma shock: maximum tuneability with easy, intuitive adjustments.
Designed by riders, built for riders, the Edit frame is now in it’s fourth generation. That means we’ve put five years of real-world testing, development and refinement into the platform that has earned Airdrop a bit of a cult following. And the result is an alloy, 155mm all-mountain frame that’s up there with the best of them. We’re not into making claims here so all we’ll say is that the Edit is a whole heap of fun to ride. A bike built for good times.
Back when we launched the Edit v2 with a coil shock it was a bold move, but it worked. And so did the bike; to ride the rowdiest, roughest trails, rock gardens and greasy roots a coil is the obvious choice. And yet the Edit v4 remains one of the few frames you can buy that’s designed to work with a high-end coil shock without compromise.
Over the years we've built a lot of bikes with Cane Creek's coil shocks. They've always been a great option for riders who charge hard but also like to fettle a bit, working through the tuning to dial in the perfect setup. Where the Rockshox shocks offer incredible performance out of the box in a fit-and-forget way, Cane Creek gives you that as a base tune with loads more potential to improve. And let's face it, they look the business. The Kitsuma is the latest iteration of the DB line and makes it easy to use with tool-free, intuitive 4-way adjustment.

Choosing the right spring rate is key to getting the most out of a coil shock. Work out your total rider weight - including your normal riding kit - then use this chart to choose a spring. You can use the shock's preload adjuster to do the fine tuning later.
These spring rates are calculated based on the Edit v4's kinematics. Even if you're used to running coil shocks on other bikes, you may need to check the right spring for the Edit. These calculations are based on 33% sag and a 65% rear / 35% front weight bias. On the Edit's 205mm shock length, 33% sag measures at 185mm eye-to-eye.
