We try to sell only what we can build in the next month; with high demand and a small team, the simplest and fairest way. We don't take preorders until we are certain that stock will be in place. During busy periods we release stock at 9am on the first day of the month subject to availability as shown below.
Check below for stock availability on your choice of frame colour as well as bike build kit.
A pro-level dirt jump bike built to the Airdrop Works standard.
We say that the Fade is a dirt jump frame in it's rawest, purest form. It's not an extra-small version of something else. It's not a bike that's designed to be versatile. It's a legitimate dirt jump & pump track platform, pure and simple. The 2020 Fade Works bike builds on everything we learned from the fabled "Fade To Black" limited edition with a spec list worthy of any pro-level bike (and yes, there's a stealth black option).
Up front you have the new Rockshox Pike DJ - the benchmark fork for pro dirt, slope and pump-track work. Now you can choose between the Diffusion Black and Gloss Silver colours (while stocks last). The wheel set is the Halo Chaos DJ 26" rim on black DJ hubs, single speed rear with 11-tooth mini thread-on cog. That's matched up to a pair of Maxxis DTH tyres. They're fast and run smooth but offer just the right amount of grip. You get a 28-11 gear ratio with a 28 tooth direct-mount chainring on super strong Descendant cranks.
Finishing kit includes a Gusset S2 DJ pivotal saddle and seatpost, Burgtec Mk3 Enduro stem, Josh Bryceland RideHigh 38mm bars and Gusset Sleeper mushroom-ribbed grips. The Fade Works runs a Gusset Slink half-link chain in black so in combination with the black Pike DJ and the matte black frame option, you can have a seriously stealthy build. Or go for the classic Airdrop raw finish.
The Fade frame is available in one size only. It's designed as a compact dirt jump & pump-track bike but reach is a little bit longer than most, so it's perfect if you're a mountain biker accustomed to modern, long enduro bikes.
