The bike that we would ride. Actually, it is the bike that we ride.
We're not like other bike companies. They have to spec bikes to a price point, to satisfy a supplier contract or keep a product manager happy. We can just fit whatever we want, and that makes a big difference. It means we're only speccing a bike in a way that we've tried and tested; a bike that we're happy to ride ourselves. And that's exactly where the Edit v3 Works comes from. If we were customers, this is the bike that we would buy.
Let's start with the shock: the Rockshox Super Deluxe. We list it as the coil but we can swap it out for the air if you prefer. We think the coil best suits the gnarly trails this bike is built for. So up front is the new Lyrik RC2. Yes, the red one (we even did a red frame to pair up with these forks, that's how much we like them). Braking is taken care of by the peerless SRAM Code RSC which is a downhill brake, but you can't have too much power.
Drivetrain is SRAM's top of the range all-mountain groupset, X01 Eagle. That gives you 12 gears with a 500% range. Plenty. Hope Pro 4 hubs and 35w wheels are a no-brainer and to finish things off, a Burgtec bar, stem and saddle. It's a lot of bike.
