The new Edit MX frame is by far the finest and the fastest frame we've designed to date. A product of our dedication to designing the bikes we want to ride, it's the ideal platform for no-nonsense riders. An alloy frame with a 5-year warranty, CNC fitments, external routing, UDH compatible... it's ticking all the right boxes. When you've got a frame like that to build on, it would be rude not to put the best of everything into one amazing bike. That's the Edit MX Works.
The Edit MX Works comes in two different frame colours: our signature Raw finish with a clear matte powder coat and a black anodised rocker, or Sean Grean matte powder coat with a silver ano rocker. Both are much more hard wearing than the traditional wet paint from other brands. You can also choose from silver brushed alloy or black brushed alloy head badges, and ten different decal colours. Get your Edit MX Works looking just the way you want it with up to 40x different combinations.
At the heart of the Works build is the TTX22 M.2 coil shock delivering 161mm of buttery-smooth travel in a beautifully engineered package.
There's a 3-level high-speed compression lever, 16 clicks of low-speed compression adjustment and 7 clicks of rebound. The lightweight springs come in 23lb increments, ideal for fine-tuning.
Up front there is the world-cup willing RXF38 m.2 Enduro fork. 38mm stanchions deliver stiffness and precision while the TTX damper keeps everything under control.
Featuring independent cartridge spring and damper systems, you get high- and low-speed compression and rebound adjustment.
We redesigned the Edit MX rear end around the SRAM UDH standard, which means the Works bike can use the flagship X0 T-Type AXS drivetrain. It's fully wireless, and the direct-mount rear mech delivers incredibly crisp & fast shifts every time. It's also more serviceable than it's predecessors, with a replaceable cage.
Fitting T-Type means the Works bike has the new alloy X0 crankset and t-type chain for fewer dropped chains. We also spec the 2x optional integrated bashguards and an MRP SL i0 chain device for maximum security. The crank arms are 165mm for extra clearance. Nothing left to chance here.
The better your brakes, the faster you can go. Which is why the Edit MX Works has SRAM's Code Ultimate brakeset. 4-pot callipers paired with a carbon-bladed lever offering reach adjust, contact-point adjust and stealth hose routing. Oh, and we fit top-of-the-line HS2 rotors - 200mm front and rear.
The icing on what's already a very nice cake. The Edit MX Works gets our very best wheelset. We hand build Reserve alloy rims (which have a lifetime warranty) onto Hope Pro 5 hubs, with black DT Swiss double-butted spokes and brass ProLock nipples. The whole thing's finished off with Fillmore valves.
It's pretty insane that a production bike gets a wheelset like this, but this is what we run on our own bikes. Remember: we design the bikes we want to ride. And we go one further: upgrade to Reserve carbon rims for only £499.
You don't just have to take our word for it. We sent Jessie-Jay Morgan at Pinkbike and Edit MX Works to test, and it's fair to say she liked it...
