With the industry leaving 27.5" wheels behind - and certain riders with it - we doubled down on our commitment. We developed this dedicated 27.5 platform alongside the Edit MX, which together form the fifth generation of our iconic Edit line. What that means is you can build a super versatile 27.5" mtb without compromising the geometry, kinematics or sizing. It is, as ever, the real deal.
You get the usual Airdrop build quality and commitment to useability which means external cable routing, CNC guides and standard bearings throughout. It's alloy, with an all-new custom butted tubeset and CNC fitments throughout. The one-piece rocker is machined from a solid billet and anodised. The tubing gets our unique matte powder coat treatment (which is tougher than wet paint) in Sean Grean, or clearcoat over Raw alloy.
This frameset features the EXT Storia v4 Coil shock with Superlight v2 coil spring. It's a completely different beast from any mass-produced shock. Extreme Racing Shox are an independent engineering firm in Italy, specializing in ultra-high performance suspension products for WRC, Formula One, Moto and MTB applications. All their technology is developed in-house, and their products are machined in-house too. The Storia v4 we offer on the Edit 27.5 is their top-tier coil shock body, and it shows. You may be wondering how much better can this be than a premium shock from a mainstream brand; they do the same job, offer similar features and have much the same adjustability. The answer to that starts with the quality of the craftsmanship, which is obvious the moment you see the shock. And that follows into the ride-feel which just hits different. It's hard to describe, but it's real. We work with Mojo Rising in the UK to develop our own base tune for the Storia, and they build them to order. Which also means you get the unparalleled aftermarket support from one of the UK's top suspension tuning houses. If you want the best for your new Edit 27.5 build, this is it.

Choosing the right spring rate is key to getting the most out of a coil shock. Work out your total rider weight - including your normal riding kit - then use this chart to choose a spring. You can use the shock's preload adjuster to do the fine tuning later.
These spring rates are calculated based on the Edit's kinematics. Even if you're used to running coil shocks on other bikes, you may need to check the right spring for the Edit. These calculations are based on 30% sag. On the Edit's 205mm shock length, 30% sag measures at 187mm eye-to-eye.
