As you can imagine we get a lot of questions and we encourage people to contact us if there's anything we can do to help. But we also get asked the same questions very often so it may be more convenient for you to check out our Frequently Asked Questions below.

Buying An Airdrop Bike

Most of our bikes are sold through the website, even if we've been advising you or preparing a custom build quote. To buy one of our standard options, just visit the shop and navigate to the product you want, then add it to your basket. If it's a custom order, then we will create the order for you and email you a link to the website checkout.

Yes of course you can. Just give us a ring on 0114 255 1550 and we'll be happy to help.

We can accept all major credit and debit cards, PayPal and Apple Pay. We can also accept bank transfer by special arrangement. We are not able to accept cash payments and for the time being at least, we don't offer finance options.

No, we are not able to accept any of the various C2W scheme vouchers.

If an item is in stock and doesn't require building, we typically ship the day after we receive your order. If your item does require building, such as a frame bundle or a bike, we typically ship 3-5 business days after we receive your order. If an item is not in stock, we will contact our suppliers and advise you of the turnaround time.

Geometry & Sizing

Choosing the right frame size is really important, so we put together a sizing guide. If you still have questions, the best thing to do is to contact us.

There is a geometry chart on each product page, but you can also find geometry for all our bikes one our geometry page.

Technical & Frame Spares

It's important to ensure all bolts on your Airdrop frame are torqued correctly. Click here to find the correct settings. Use a good quality torque wrench and either grease or thread locking compound as appropriate.

We offer two replacement bearing kits for the Airdrop Edit; the Standard Bearing Kit which uses Enduro bearings and the Deluxe Bearing Kit which uses Enduro Max bearings.

No problem - you need a Mech Hanger Dropout which is compatible with the Edit v1, Edit v2 and Bitmap frames.

No problem - you need a Brake Mount Dropout which is compatible with the Edit v1, Edit v2 and Bitmap frames.

We offer a Pivot Bolt Kit that includes all the bolts and washers for the Edit v1 and v2 pivot locations, but doesn't include dropout bolts.

Compatibility

All Airdrop bikes use the same BB standard - 73mm threaded - which means you can run any threaded BSA30 bottom bracket on the market. Just make sure it's the 73mm length version.

All Airdrop Bikes use a tapered head tube that accept inset headsets. They're sometimes referred to as semi-integrated headsets. If you have an Edit v1 you'll need a ZS44mm top headset and a ZS55mm bottom headset. If you have an Edit v2 or a Bitmap you'll need a ZS44mm top and ZS56mm bottom. Shop our range of headsets.

All Airdrop Bikes use a seat tube with an internal diameter of 30.9mm, a popular size which all standard seat posts and most dropper posts are compatible with. The Edit v1 was compatible with externally routed droppers but the Edit v2 and Bitmap use internally routed (stealth) dropper posts.

The Edit v1, Edit v2 and Bitmap use the same rear brake mount. The minimum rotor size is 180mm and the maximum is 203mm.
