Sizing

People come in all shapes and sizes, and we all have different preferences. If you're considering buying an Airdrop Bike, it's worth investing a bit of time in choosing the right size. Our advice is to choose the right size frame for your height/reach and then to select a dropper post length based on your preferred saddle height.

This sizing information is intended to be a guide, and for most people it will be sufficient to make the right choice. But if you would like to discuss sizing or if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

  • The Edit v1 frame was sold between January 2016 and February 2017, and it differs in a few small but significant ways to the later v2 frame. The easiest way to tell if you're looking at a v1 or v2 Edit is to look at the seat-clamp slot. If it's on the back of the seat-tube, it's a v1. If it's on the front of the seat-tube, it's a v2 Edit.

    Saddle Height

The Edit v1 has a 30.9mm diameter seat tube with external routing for the dropper post. As a result it is generally only compatible with 100mm or 125mm dropper posts from the main brands. We originally sold all the Edit v1 builds with 125mm Rockshox Reverb posts.

The table below details the various minimum and maximum saddle heights achievable with 100mm and 125mm dropper posts. All measurements are taken from BB centre to saddle rails, with the seat post fully extended. Minimum saddle height is with the seat post slammed, and maximum is with the seat post as far out as possible.

    What's The Difference?

The Edit v2 has stealth (internal) dropper routing, which means you can use the new 150mm or 170mm dropper posts. That in turn means we were able to reduce the length of the seat-tube, which means much better stand-over clearance, especially on the Large. Buy the Edit with the right reach, and manage your saddle height by choosing the right dropper post. We also reduced the length of the head-tubes enabling you to get your weight onto the fork more effectively.

    Saddle Height

We typically fit the new longer 150mm or 170mm dropper posts on Edit v2 builds. For most riders, this means you can run the post slammed and still achieve a good pedalling position.

  • The Bitmap is all new for 2018. For the first time we've gone to a four-size range so there's a Small right through to a genuine X-Large. And we've made the sizing simple: all sizes have a super-low standover and the seat-tubes go up in 1" increments. Reach goes up in 20mm increments and everything else flows fro there. You can run a 170mm dropper on all sizes.
