The Filter is all about maximum fun; a bike designed to put the rider front & centre. We took everything we've learned from four generations of Edit frames, stripped it right back and turned the fun dial up to 11. The Filter recipe includes 27.5" wheels, 135mm rear wheel travel, aggressive geo and of course, Airdrop build quality.
The Filter frame and Rockshox Super Deluxe Coil Ultimate are a mis-match made in heaven. A coil-sprung 135mm travel frame certainly goes against the grain but for those who want to venture into rowdy terrain or go toe-to-toe with those big travel enduro sleds it makes a lot of sense. That supple feel only a coil shock can delivery and a progressive 135mm platform make this the most capable Filter combo. It's got that Airdrop DNA in it. Stick it it to the man... with style.
The Super Deluxe Coil Ultimate is Rockshox's no-compromise coil shock. Normally seen gracing the podiums on UCI DH world cups and EWS races it's a shock with a racing pedigree and performance to match. Offering the unmistakable coil feel and boasting external rebound, low-speed compression and a threshold adjustment lever for pedalling when you need it. And yes, it has a red spring.

Choosing the right spring rate is key to getting the most out of a coil shock. Work out your total rider weight - including your normal riding kit - then use this chart to choose a spring. You can use the shock's preload adjuster to do the fine tuning later.
These spring rates are calculated based on the Filter's kinematics. Even if you're used to running coil shocks on other bikes, you may need to check the right spring for the Filter. These calculations are based on 28% sag and a 65% rear / 35% front weight bias. On the Filter's 185mm shock length, 28% sag measures at 169.6mm eye-to-eye.
