Airdrop Slacker downhill bikes and frames are designed in the UK for riders who want to ride steep, technical terrain, big jumps and bikepark lines. With 200mm front and rear travel, 27.5" wheels and suspension designed around playful, predictable handling, the Slacker is built for gravity riding, uplift days and riders who like to get creative.
Yes. At Airdrop we always offer both a frame-only option and a full-build option on our bikes. Both Edit 27.5 and Edit MX available with two shocks: Rockshox Vivid Ultimate, or EXT storia v4 Coil. The Edit MX is also available as a full build.
Yes. When you place an order for an Edit, that reserves the stock for you and also a place in our build queue (typically 1 week). We then build your bike by hand in our Sheffield workshop.
As we prep all orders by hand, there is usually a short build queue. Check the 'estimated build date' on the product page (below the price) for specific advice before you place your order.
We offer customisation on all our bikes and frames. On Edit frames your options include shock, frame size, colour, head badge and decals. On the Edit bikes you can also choose dropper-post length, handlebar rise, width and brake orientation (UK or Euro). You can also upgrade the wheels and drivetrain, and add extras such as Ridewrap and pedals.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, various Cycle To Work schemes and V12 Retail Finance (subject to status, uk residents only).
The Airdrop Slacker is a true downhill bike designed for riders who want to venture outside the tape. We tuned the kinematics for predictable, playful handling and steep technical terrain, bikepark lines and big jumps. The frame is built around a huge one-piece rocker CNC machined from billet alloy, providing the stiffness and confidence you need to charge right at stuff your trail bike would avoid. And at the end of the day, it's built like a downhill bike. Shove it in the back of the van and it'll be good to go next week.
When you get down to the spec, this is where the Slacker's real credentials lie. It's not a long-travel Enduro bike, or a trail bike with big forks on it. It's a no-holds-barred downhill rig, plain and simple. 200mm front and rear travel, 200mm brake mount, 157mm DH rear axle spacing, super-low standover... you get the idea.
The Slacker is very much a core part of the Airdrop Bikes ethos: build bikes for riders who ride their own way.
