The Works is our top shelf build; a no compromise approach to building a Slacker. It’s a Slacker that goes about its business with a little extra swagger, shrugging off those hair-raising moments thanks to its zero-compromise spec. The Slacker is a bike built for all-out fun, which makes the Slacker Works is the ultimate expression of our #sessionsnotseconds ethos.
At the heart of the Works build is the TTX22 M.2 coil shock delivering 200mm of buttery-smooth travel in a beautifully engineered package.
There's a 3-level high-speed compression lever, 16 clicks of low-speed compression adjustment and 7 clicks of rebound. The lightweight springs come in 23lb increments, ideal for fine-tuning.
Up front there is the world-cup willing DH38 m.1 Race fork. 38mm stanchions deliver stiffness and precision while the TTX damper keeps everything under control.
Featuring independent cartridge spring and damper systems, you get high- and low-speed compression and rebound adjustment.
A bike like this needs a drivetrain that just works, flawslessly, all the time. Power goes down through the Descendant DH 165mm cranks, which are shorter than enduro cranks for that extra clearance. MRP's SXg chain device has both a top and bottom guide with a bashguard, but doesn't contact the chain: the result is everything running smoothly and quietly with zero drag.
All Airdrop bikes are designed to run quietly; all you need to hear is the sweet sound of tyres shralping through the dirt. The Slacker Works comes with our Silencer kit, a dedicated chainstay protector with sound damping design. Add that to the short-cage GXDH rear mech with a roller-bearing clutch and you've got yourself a quiet bike.
Hope UK made hubs have always been the benchmark for reliability. Now the Pro 5 is available in a DH specific option, offering 54 points of engagement and 6 pawls. They're fast, loud and they'll never let you down. As standard we fit the Fortus 30W DH alloy rim which has an internally reinforced, triple-cavity design capable of handling the roughest tracks.
If you want to take things to the ultimate level, you can upgrade the wheels to Reserve DH31 Carbon rims.
These are hand-built in house with Hope Pro 5 hubs, DT Comp spokes and Prolock Brass nipples. And of course, the rims come with Reserve's lifetime warranty.

Confidence is everything on a bike like this. So we fit Michelin's dedicated DH tyres. Wire beaded, they have a stiff sidewall and the DH Shield casing keeps things stable. The Magi-X DH compound offers tonnes of grip.
The DH22 provides all the grip you need up front, while the DH34 is a bit faster to keep things moving out back.
